“Two Places” Recap

Brothers & Sisters - Two Places

No one escapes drama this week in the Walker family.  Kitty and Robert plan a shot-gun wedding so that the news of the pregnancy doesn’t precede their nuptuals…wouldn’t want to lose those key conservative votes. In an unexpected twist of fate (although, viewers should have totally seen this coming) when Kitty and Nora go to the first sonogram appointment the doctor detects no baby heart-beat.  Robert pretends to be upset by the no-baby news, but later admits to Issac (played by Danny Glover) the political consultant whom Kitty called for advice, that he never wanted a baby.  So are we to think that Robert is actually god-like?  Whatever Robert wants is what the universe gives him?

When Paige starts acting out at school and then runs away from home, Joe finally admits that its time to alter the custody agreement and agrees to split the kids with Sarah.  Well that whole custody drama didn’t last all but one episode.  I’m sure ex-sex is not far down the road.

Kevin’s ex-flame, culinary student Scotty runs into some money trouble so the witty lawyer offers him a blow-up matress at his apartment.  Incidentally, Kevin’s had a hard time reaching Jason who’s still off on his religious mission.  Scotty offers some friendly distraction (a couple of very gay movies) and unless you’re legally blind you can see where this is headed.

Lena, the slut next door, continues her affair with Tommy, but it turns out that one Walker boy just isn’t enough.  When she, Becca, and Justin head out for drinks, she outwardly flirts with the wounded vet, much to Becca’s dismay.  Justin shares his meds and the two are caught kissing by an seemingly jealous Becca.  Becca suspects that Justin is using again (very true) and leaves the bar (as well as the Walker house) in a rage.  I’m curious to know if she’s pissed because of the drugs or because she has an inappropritate crush on her brother.  Just so we’re all clear, half siblings are still biologically related.  And a romantic relationship between biological siblings is called incest.  It’s just plain creepy that these two have an oddly flirtatious relationship.  If the writers are prepping for a future plot twist which reveals that Becca wasn’t actually the illegitimate child of Mr. Walker, then ok.  But right now, still siblings.  So stop flirting!
